Illustration Friday: "Fluid"

This one's for everyone who spends any time with little children and is constantly on "nose watch" at the first sign of a cold.  Kids' cold germs are the worst, aren't they?

  4. Somehow you make a child with a runny nose look so charming! I always enjoy the subtle way that you use color. Is this a combination of an ink drawing and digital color?

    1. Thanks Sarah! Yes, I did the line drawing in ink with crow quill and then scanned it and colored it in Photoshop. I put a subtle texture layer over it, including the ink lines, to kind of mute the whole thing. Digital color works great for me because I like flat, even areas of color.

  8. Beautiful linework! What a cutie. And those eyes! I like it that you left a little white rim when coloring the shirt, this way it looks a bit like a screenprint. The colors work really well. I like your style!
