This piece was created digitally in Adobe Photoshop. I think it took longer to draw it digitally than it would have if I'd used a traditional pen and ink but I did like being able to use color, instantly correct mistakes and experiment without ruining anything. And there was no risk of spilling or blooping ink!
Lovely pattern and texture! The hilt is particularly cool, and the flower design. Nice!
ReplyDeleteWow, I like it! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow Laurie! This is absolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLovely work.
ReplyDeleteI love the detail and especially how you varied the crosshatching on the left side of the blade to show it's sheen :)
ReplyDeleteGreat illustration!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! This reminds me of a litho print. Fantastic line work :)
ReplyDeleteMighty fine job! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI really adore this one, good work.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, wow, wow! You HAVE been busy! I didn't know you were doing digital along side traditional. That's fantastic, I like it for all the reasons you mentioned. Although as you say, ironically it may sometimes be faster to do it manually. Great stuff Laurie, really great.
