Illustration Friday: "Tall"

"Sweet on Red"

The height of platform pumps has gotten ridiculous, to the point where they almost look like a joke.  But when I see pictures of women wearing them, they actually look pretty good!  This shoe is made up for this illustration, which is a pen and ink drawing colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.

  2. WOW - you have the most amazing texture in your work. I love it so much. This piece is so beautiful - I am normally not a huge fan of pink but this muted shade is lovely and is perfect with that sage green. Wonderful work!

  3. I love this! I have a pair of gorgeous purple shoes that were so wonderful in the store but the heels are so high that I can't wear them. They are so pretty that sometimes I just take them out and put them on my art desk...I've even tried to draw and paint them.

  4. This is really beautiful! I wish I could still wear high heels. I've been in flip flops too long.

  6. Beautiful textures! The shoe looks great but when I see them this high, it makes me cringe because I believe an accident is inevitable. (Maybe not. But for me it would be!) Wonderful hummingbirds too!

  8. Yes, I love to see them but I think I'll never wear them XD
Reminds me of the movie Sofia Coppola made about Marie Antoinette ♥

  10. You know me, I am a huge fan of the details in your work! Love this post. I am with you...I look at shoes now and think 'ankle breaker'. I am craving the day when I can work full time from home and sport nothing on my feet but slippers, Chuck Taylor's or boots.
